Mayor Bowser Recommits to Strong Families, Strong Futures DC | Washington Informer

On April 5, Tiffany Williams, president and CEO of Martha’s Table along with members of the Strong Families Strong Futures program,  joined D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser at DC Health headquarters in Southeast where Bowser announced the second round of direct cash assistance payments for expectant mothers and mothers of children under the age of three.

Reflecting on Dr. King’s legacy during DC’s annual MLK Parade

On Monday, January 15, from 10 AM to 4PM, Martha’s Table hosted the largest MLK Day of Service event in its history, incorporating more than 50 volunteers and community partners! The annual MLK Day of Service demonstrates Martha’s Table’s commitment to our neighbors. The event included service projects across several locations, grab n-go markets featuring fresh produce, a Global Passport Activation hosted at Outfitters, and a volunteer pep rally !

The MLK Day of Service represents an opportunity for us to join together in  Southeast DC. We are thrilled to welcome volunteers from across the District –working  together, to ensure residents have access to fresh produce, resources, and that our community centers are rejuvenated.
