MARTHA’S TABLE RECEIVES CIVIC SPIRIT AWARD

We are incredibly grateful to accept the Civic Spirit Award  from  The Community Foundation for the National Capital Region at last week’s 2017 Celebration of Philanthropy at Arena Stage . The event honored both Martha’s Table and our President and CEO, Patty Stonesifer. Each year, the Community Foundation for the National Capital region celebrates organizations and individuals who labor tirelessly to positively impact our community through philanthropy.

In her remarks, Patty Stonesifer encouraged attendees to take action: “Let us join together in civic spirit with a pledge towards a new level of awareness of race and privilege”. As we continue to partner with our neighbors and the greater Washington, D.C. community, we are looking towards a future of of engaging our community because we believe every child deserves the opportunity for their brightest future, and a deeply engaged family and community committed to their success.

Thank you to The Community Foundation for the National Capital Region for honoring us, and for being such an invaluable partner to Martha’s Table and so many other great organizations in the D.C. area by encouraging and supporting effective giving and providing leadership on critical issues in our community.
