Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving geared at unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities. This Giving Tuesday, November 29, Martha’s Table will be raising $75,000 in support of the critical programming that keeps District children and families strong. Our emotional wellness program is one of the programs we’re excited to highlight this Giving Tuesday. Thanks to a generous donor, every gift made today will be matched up to $50,000!
“By working with one individual, you can have a huge impact on the community.” -Sarina Sechrist, Director of Emotional Wellness & Health
Through our emotional wellness program, families have access to critical mental health services and resources at no cost, including 1:1 counseling through our partner, Community Wellness Ventures, and in-house workshops led by Martha’s Table’s in-house therapist and Director of Emotional Health & Wellness, Sarina Sechrist. These workshops include art therapy, mindfulness and Healthy Happy Hour–a workshop centered on emotional wellness and nutrition. These family-friendly workshops create a supportive community and are easy to access.
We need your help to meet our goal of $75,000 in support of the transformative work at Martha’s Table, including emotional wellness programming. You can support Martha’s Table this Giving Tuesday in so many ways. Below you’ll find a menu of support options you can choose from!
Thank you for helping our neighbors thrive this Giving Tuesday!

The Global Passport trip was a trip I’ll never forget…I was able to step out of my comfort zone and create new relationships.

In May 1983, Bethesda United Methodist Church collected 277 sandwiches to support Martha’s Table and its program McKenna’s Wagon, for the first time. In May 2023, the church celebrated 40 years of support by collecting over 2,000 sandwiches and trail mix.

What I enjoy most about being a father is just the happiness I feel from giving unconditional love and protection. I love being there for them and hearing them say “That’s my dad” proudly to their friends.
