Fox 5 news covers our third cohort of Global Passport students as they board the train to Philadelphia! Through this no-cost program, Ward 7 & 8 students have the opportunity to explore other cultures as they build connections with fellow youth from their very on hometown.

On Monday, January 15, from 10 AM to 4PM, Martha’s Table hosted the largest MLK Day of Service event in its history, incorporating more than 50 volunteers and community partners! The annual MLK Day of Service demonstrates Martha’s Table’s commitment to our neighbors. The event included service projects across several locations, grab n-go markets featuring fresh produce, a Global Passport Activation hosted at Outfitters, and a volunteer pep rally !
The MLK Day of Service represents an opportunity for us to join together in Southeast DC. We are thrilled to welcome volunteers from across the District –working together, to ensure residents have access to fresh produce, resources, and that our community centers are rejuvenated.

This weekend Martha’s Table, a DC-based non-profit organization that provides education, health and wellness, economic mobility, and family support services, will host its annual Community Harvest Dinner, at which more than 1,200 Thanksgiving meals will be distributed at no cost to families.
