We believe our community knows its strengths and aspirations best. Guided by our neighbors’ voices and fueled by their vision, Martha’s Table is proud to announce the latest cohort of organizations supported by the Community Impact Fund.
Established in 2022 in partnership with the Greater Washington Community Foundation, the Community Impact Fund (CIF) was born out of hundreds of conversations with Ward 8 residents, each sharing their vision for a thriving community. By investing in our partners, we’re not just funding projects—we’re strengthening a community of changemakers across Ward 8.
We’re excited to introduce our new cohort of ten CIF grantees. Each nonprofit brings fresh perspectives to supporting Ward 8, grounded in our community’s strengths, knowledge, and experiences:
Our newest grantees are committed to building on these strengths in areas such as educational access, environmental sustainability, youth empowerment, and family support, combining their expertise with a shared dedication to strengthening their community.
CIF is more than just a grant—it’s a platform for shared learning and collaboration. In 2023, we partnered with the Center for Nonprofit Advancement to broaden our support for grantees. Through this expanded collaboration, we offered each nonprofit tailored workshops, consultations, and digital resources to enhance their operational skills and expand their organizational reach. This hands-on assistance empowers nonprofits to strengthen their foundations and build the capacity needed to deepen their impact within the community.
This work is made possible by our generous partners, who believe in the power of community-led change and share our vision for a thriving Ward 8.
