On Sunday, October 5, we gathered to celebrate 45 incredible years of Martha’s Table and the unwavering commitment to ensuring that every Washingtonian has the opportunity to thrive. The Annual Benefit was not just a moment to reflect on our journey but also a joyous occasion to honor those who embody the heart of our mission as we continue to foster a community where our neighbors are evolving, growing, and thriving.
This year, we had the distinct privilege of recognizing three remarkable leaders: Carol Thompson Cole, John Thompson III, and Poet Taylor, who have made a significant impact in our community.
Carol Thompson Cole has dedicated decades to enhancing early childhood education and fostering connections among business, government, and philanthropy, ensuring that countless families have access to opportunities for growth.
John Thompson III, Senior VP of Monumental Basketball, has exemplified dedicated service by connecting athletes with the community through impactful wellness initiatives and outreach programs.
Poet Taylor has brought vibrant energy and authenticity as a community advocate, inspiring others through her leadership and volunteer work.
Together, these honorees embodied the spirit of service and purpose, creating pathways for children and families to thrive across the District and beyond. Each honoree exemplifies our organization’s core values: teamwork, respect, compassion, and accountability. Their dedication to service and their communities has inspired us and many others, and we were proud to celebrate their contributions.
Tonight we celebrate the brilliance of our neighbors, the vision of our partners, and the leadership of our honorees. As we step into the next 45 years, we do so with a shared commitment to a Washington DC, where every child is strong, every family has the resources they need, and every community flourishes. -Tiffany Williams, CEO
As we reflect on this milestone, we remain dedicated to our mission. With the support of our community, we look forward to continuing the work that has defined our past and will shape our future. Here’s to more years of growth and transformation for every Washingtonian!
