Join us on November 20 for a Thankful Meals Celebration!

Join us as Martha’s Table, Monumental Sports, Giant Food, and CareFirst come together to host the Thankful Meals Event! This gathering promises a warm, festive atmosphere and plenty of holiday cheer to kick off the season right here in our community. We’re welcoming friends and neighbors to enjoy a memorable afternoon filled with food, fun, and connection.

Monumental Sports will set the stage with vibrant decorations, a DJ, dancers, and even a mascot to keep the energy high throughout the afternoon. This family-friendly event is designed to bring the community together and celebrate the season. We look forward to sharing this special day with you!

What to Expect:

  • Healthy Food Demonstrations—Chef Jojo will lead cooking demonstrations and share practical, nutritious meal tips that make healthy eating easy and accessible.
  • Turkey and Pie Giveaway – Join us as we share turkeys and pies to help neighbors get ready for a wonderful holiday season. Supplies are limited, so come early and celebrate with us!
  • Special Guest Appearances – Meet athletes and staff from the Washington Wizards and Washington Mystics! They’ll be joining us for the celebration, bringing added excitement with entertainment, Wizards apparel giveaways, and a chance to connect with fans.
  • Takeaway Meals – We’ll be providing warm meals to take home, along with gift cards, so that families can enjoy nourishing food and essential resources ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.

  • Location: The Commons at Martha’s Table
  • Details: Supplies and giveaways will be available while supplies last. No registration is required—just bring yourself, your family, and friends to share in the holiday spirit

 

  • Lobby Market Update:
    Please note that the Lobby Market at the Commons will operate on a special schedule on November 20. It will be open from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM instead of the normal market hours.

Join us from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, located at 1600 Morris Rd. SE, for a warm, welcoming gathering with friends and neighbors.
