Be Part of Something Meaningful at Martha’s Outfitters
Located on Martin Luther King Avenue in the heart of Anacostia, Martha’s Outfitters is a hub of care, connection, and community. Neighbors visit every day to select professional attire and children’s clothing at no cost. Volunteers are at the heart of every visit, bringing energy, kindness, and organization to create a welcoming space where everyone feels supported and valued.
How Volunteers Make a Difference
Volunteers help ensure that every guest has a positive experience. They sort and organize incoming clothing donations, restock items for visitors, and provide friendly support throughout the boutique. Whether you are an individual looking to give back, a student earning service hours, or planning a team service day with colleagues, volunteering at Martha’s Outfitters is a chance to make a tangible difference in your community.
The Impact of Your Support
Last year, Martha’s Outfitters welcomed thousands of neighbors and distributed more than 97,000 articles of clothing, helping families save an estimated $2.9 million. Volunteers also processed over 10,000 donations. Every action by our volunteers uplifts neighbors and strengthens our community.
