At Martha’s Table, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, starting from day one. That’s why our Early Childhood Education (ECE) program goes beyond traditional childcare. It’s a warm, enriching, and community-centered environment where children grow socially, emotionally, and academically with their families right by their side.
Grounded in evidence-based curricula and deep respect for families as a child’s first teacher, our ECE program nurtures each child’s development while empowering caregivers along the way. Over the years, we’ve proudly served hundreds of children and families. Each one is a reminder of what’s possible when care and community come together.
Whether you’re a parent, volunteer, donor, or just curious about what we do, this is your inside look at the big hearts behind the bright futures.
So, what does a typical day look like at Martha’s Table?
It begins with smiles. Our educators greet each child warmly, setting the tone for a day rooted in connection and care. Classrooms are alive with joyful routines, songs at circle time, hands-on activities that spark curiosity, and plenty of play that helps build confidence and social skills.
A successful day balances structure and creativity. Children engage in early literacy and math activities, explore sensory stations, enjoy nutritious meals, and participate in outdoor play. All of this happens while being supported by educators who notice and celebrate every milestone, big or small.
By day’s end, our young learners leave feeling proud, capable, and ready for tomorrow.
Our ECE program is rooted in the belief that a child’s success starts with a family’s well-being. From day one, we build trust with caregivers by listening, learning, and walking alongside them.
Families enrolled in our program have access to wraparound services that support long-term stability. These include:
As one parent put it,
“My family loves that the program provides support on all levels, diapers, clothes, food, financial resources, and much more.”
Through regular communication, home-school connections, and community events, we create a space where families feel supported.
We believe children learn best through play. Our classrooms are built around play-based learning that sparks discovery, creativity, and joy. Whether it’s building with blocks, exploring nature, or experimenting with colors, our students are learning to ask questions, solve problems, and express themselves.
Social-emotional learning is just as important. We create nurturing environments where children build healthy relationships, practice self-awareness, and manage emotions. This foundation sets them up for future academic success and for life.
Our team shows up each day with purpose and heart. The relationships they build with children and families go beyond the classroom.
Joel, who supports enrollment, reflects,
“One of the most rewarding parts of my job is seeing how excited families get from the moment they start the enrollment process all the way to their child’s first day of school.”
Theresa and Erica, two of our dedicated team members, often speak about how small moments, like a child saying their first word or waving goodbye confidently, highlight the power of early education.
One parent recently shared,
“Our daughter began at 16 months, and her language and socialization skills took off right away.”
These reflections are a testament to the community we’ve built, one grounded in dignity, joy, and mutual respect.
At Martha’s Table, Early Childhood Education is more than a program. It’s a promise. A promise to nurture young minds, support families, and build stronger communities.
If you’re a parent looking for a safe, high-quality early learning experience, we invite you to explore enrollment. If you’re a community member or donor, we encourage you to share our story, support our mission, or get involved.
Together, we can build brighter beginnings for every child.
