In partnership with Vehicles for Change, Martha’s Table offers the innovative 15-week Virtual Reality (VR) Auto Tech Training Program (ATTP). Facilitated by Mathews Carter, the course provides immersive, hands-on experience and a $2,000 learn-to-earn incentive as participants prepare for three Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications.

Mathews, who first joined Martha’s Table through the District Dads program, transitioned from an standout ATTP student to the program’s facilitator. He now bridges the gap for Ward 8 neighbors entering high-tech automotive careers by blending advanced technical expertise with deep community ties.

“The VR component minimizes the risk and maximizes the reps. It allows us to create a state-of-the-art shop experience that is both accessible and incredibly efficient,” Mathews explains. This head start ensures that when students enter the physical shop, they do so with confidence and precision.”
