Donating Groceries or Apple Hosting a Food Drive

As food insecurity rises across Washington, DC, Martha’s Table is here to ensure no family faces it alone. Our daily, no-cost markets in Northwest and Southeast DC provide a steady source of fresh, nutritious food and a welcoming space for connection, wellness, and support.
*Note: Donations of canned goods and other shelf-stable pantry items do NOT need to be scheduled; simply drop off at one of our locations during open hours.

  • Canned fruit (packed in water or juice)
  • Canned vegetables (low sodium)
  • Canned or frozen turkey, chicken, and salmon
  • Coffee & tea
  • Grains and quinoa
  • Low-sugar cereals, oatmeal, breakfast bars
  • Whole-grain crackers
  • Nuts, dried fruit, applesauce
  • Pasta and tomato sauce
  • Rice
  • Sunflower Seed Butter, Nut Butters

  • Hot dogs, hamburgers, and pizza (fresh or frozen)
  • Breaded or fried chicken
  • French fries
  • Soda, energy or sports drinks
  • TV dinners
  • Poorly stored prepared foods (macaroni & cheese, or deli sandwiches)

Your Support Apple Makes An Impact

Last year, we distributed over 2.2 million meals, a 23% increase from the prior year and a 49.7% increase from 2023.
