Video: Experience Our Joyful Food Markets!

Since the beginning of 2015, Martha’s Table and the Capital Area Food Bank have worked in close partnership to produce Joyful Food Markets, no-cost, pop-up grocery markets in elementary schools in Wards 7 & 8. During the 2015-16 school year, the markets served more than 24,000 people, distributing more than 550,000 pounds of healthy food! By 2018, these markets will be in all 49 elementary schools east of the Anacostia River, spreading the joy of healthy eating and increasing food access for over 15,000 students and their families.

Thanks to the generous support of GoodFight Media, Martha’s Table was recently able to capture the excitement of the Joyful Food Markets initiative. Check out the following short video to experience a market for yourself!
