Building a Brighter Future: Becky’s Story

I love language and guiding children through their development. As a Literacy Coach at Martha’s Table, I work with teachers to bring literacy-based activities into the classroom, and help them look for skills distinct to each student that will help them build reading skills as they get older. I love my job because I get to work with children in their infancy all the way through fifth grade. It’s amazing to watch a child develop because they never do it in a straight line. You always have to leave room for individuality and what makes each student themselves. I’m grateful to be part of a community that supports the uniqueness of each child that walks through our doors.
