Affected by the Shutdown? WE STAND WITH YOU.

As the government shutdown continues, Martha’s Table is responding to the increased need for healthy food to support thousands of federal workers as well as employees in DC industries – restaurant, food trucks, federal contracts, etc. – who are feeling the effects of the furlough. Guests are welcome to shop for fresh produce and pantry items at our no-cost weekday markets located at both our SE & NW locations:

Martha’s Table Market  at The Commons (2375 Elvans Road, SE)
  • Open Monday-Friday from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm.
  • Effective Tuesday, January 22:
    Extended hours on Tuesdays 11:00 am – 6:00 pm.
  • Guests are now able to shop twice per month as long as the government shutdown continues.
Martha’s Table Lobby Market – 14th Street location (2114 14th Street, NW)
  • Open Monday-Friday from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm.
  • Effective Tuesday, January 22:
    Extended hours on Tuesdays 11:00 am – 6:00 pm.
  • Guests are now able to shop twice per month as long as the government shutdown continues.

Additionally, guests are welcome to shop at upcoming monthly Community Markets held at Rita Bright Family and Youth Center, Fort Stanton Recreation Center, and The Commons.

Volunteer for Veggies: We are grateful to the many furloughed workers who are volunteering their time. All volunteers can take home a fresh bag of produce after completing the volunteer shift. Sign up today.
