Martha’s Table Teens Succeed!

SOME OF THE TEENS IN THE MARTHA’S TABLE TEEN PROGRAM HAVE RECEIVED RECOGNITION FOR THEIR HARD WORK.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE FOLLOWING TEENS, WE ARE VERY PROUD OF YOU!

Burkina Cooper is a senior at Archbishop Carroll

She has received the Horatio Alger Scholarship.  Burkina is one of 9 students selected to receive the scholarship, which is $1,000 per year for 5 years.  Burkina has also been accepted into Virginia State University.

Thaddeus Coates is a Junior at McKinley Tech 

He has been awarded Student of the Month Award at McKinley Tech SHS.

Monique Brevard is a senior at Bannekar High School

She has been awarded a yearly renewable, $8,500 Presidential Scholarship for academic achievement from Trinity University for incoming freshman, should she decide to attend.  Monique was also accepted into Lincoln University with a $4,000 Alumni Endowed Scholarship

Monique has also been accepted into the following colleges.

• Virginia Commonwealth University
• North Carolina A&T
• Clark Atlanta University
• Marymount University
• Fayetteville State
• Temple University

Austin Caver is a senior at Bannekar High School

He has been accepted into the following schools:

• University of Tampa with a $3,000 Spartan Scholarship
• University of Oklahoma
• Marymount University
