Joan Nathan is the author of 10 cookbooks; her most recent, Quiches, Kugels, and Couscous: My Search for Jewish Cooking in France, was named one of the 10 Best Cookbooks of 2010 by NPR, Food & Wine, and Bon Appetit. She is a regular contributor to The New York Times, Food Arts Magazine, and Tablet Magazine. She has been awarded the James Beard Award for Best American Cookbook twice and the IACP/Julia Child Cookbook of the Year Award. Ms. Nathan graduated from the University of Michigan with a master’s degree in French literature, earned a master’s in public administration from Harvard University, and has received an honorary degree from the Spertus Institute of Jewish Culture in Chicago. Joan Nathan has served on Martha’s Table’s Board of Directors since June 2010.
