Community Support Services

In addition to our integrated programs, Martha’s Table runs community programs that support stronger children, stronger families, and stronger communities. Programs Include: McKenna’s Wagon, our daily mobile food truck; our 7 day a week emergency lobby market; our 4 pm daily meal service; and clothing services through Martha’s Outfitters.

In addition to our off-site markets, Martha’s Table also welcomes shoppers to its no-cost mini market in our building lobby (2214 14th Street NW). The mini market is open 7 days a week, from10:00 am-5:00 pm. Visitors are able to shop every 30 days.

McKenna’s Wagon, Martha’s Table’s mobile food truck, rolls out 7 days a week, 365 days a year to feed hundreds of homeless and hungry residents at three established downtown locations. Volunteers stop at the following locations and serve hot, fresh meals, as well as sandwiches, homemade muffins, fruit, and refreshments:

5:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. 2nd and H Street
5:20 p.m. – 5:45 p.m. Pennsylvania Ave and 19th Street NW
6:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. 15th and K Street NW

Every night, Martha’s Table staff and volunteers distribute hot meals, fruit, and sandwiches from Martha’s Table at 4 p.m.

Martha’s Outfitters is an innovative community store focused on supporting families with young children in the crucial early years of a child’s life. Outfitters patrons shop at no cost through a monthly credit program that allows family leaders to shop for what they need when they need it.

Offerings available to our patrons range from diapers and baby bottles for infants to business attire and kitchenware for parents and caregivers. Martha’s Outfitters’ mission is to support strong families by providing access to the clothing and housewares necessary at home and in the workplace.

As a community store, Martha’s Outfitters relies on the contributions of donors and volunteers to make sure shoppers have access to the clothing and housewares needed to build strong families. Whether you are just in the area, donating or shopping, we welcome your visit!
