Michael Bartscherer has served on the Martha’s Table board of directors since April 2015. He served as the Interim President and CEO of Martha’s Table (where he previously served as Director of Food and Clothing Programs) from October 2012, through March 2013. He has 24 years of experience in nonprofit and corporate management and the practice of law.
Prior to joining Martha’s Table, Michael served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Services for America Online, Inc. Michael has served as a member of the boards of the Legal Aid Society of the District of Columbia, the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce, the Dulles Corridor Rail Association and the Dulles Area Transportation Association. He has also worked with a number of nonprofit organizations assisting marginalized communities in Washington, DC, California, Nicaragua, and Jamaica.
Michael received his Juris Doctor and a Master’s of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University in 1989. He graduated from Boston College in 1981 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology.
