Ellis Carr has served on the Martha’s Table board of directors since October 2009. Ellis Carr is the Chief Executive Officer at Capital Impact Partners, where he is responsible for formulating and executing Capital Impact’s financial road map, capital base expansion, and investor relations. He also provides overall direction for accounting, tax, insurance, budget, and treasury functions for Capital Impact, a non-profit community development financial institution. Mr. Carr has more than 15 years of experience in financial services and mortgage sectors. Most recently, he was a senior director in the Single Family Business Unit CFO Area of Freddie Mac, where he provided financial planning, performance management, and risk assessment information to the leadership team. He also served as Freddie Mac’s Strategic Director of the Finance Transformation Office and Manager of Investments and Capital Markets, among other positions. His depth of experience at Freddie Mac has given him a unique understanding of transactions related to housing and community development. Mr. Carr graduated from Towson University with an undergraduate degree in accounting and received a master’s degree in real estate finance from Georgetown University. He also serves on the board of NHP Foundation.
