We rely on volunteers to support our Healthy Start, Healthy Eating, and Healthy Connections programs. Volunteering at Martha’s Table creates a bridge for people to connect with their community and DC neighbors. Our volunteer program helps shape our community and allows people to live with our shared values and to be a part of the solution.
Martha’s Table volunteers range in age from elementary students to retirees. Schools, church groups, civic groups, business and law offices, and employees from many businesses around the Washington D.C. metro area make up the corps of over 16,000 volunteers that walk through Martha’s Table’s doors every year.
At Martha’s Table, we believe that everyone deserves dignity and opportunity, and we work to support children, families, and neighbors by making healthy food and quality learning more accessible. Join us.
Adopt a Market
Through Martha’s Table’s Adopt-A-Market program, groups select one of our school markets and commit to volunteering with us on a monthly basis.
I Am Marthas Table
For every single #IAmMarthasTable photo submitted, a donor gifted Martha’s Table the cost of a 20+ lb. bag of fruits, veggies, and healthy groceries — enough to make a huge dent in a family’s monthly needs! While the campaign is over, feel free to still submit your photo below! Thanks to all who helped us bring over 5,000 lbs. of healthy groceries to DC neighbors!
