Dr. Seuss books needed!

03.11.2014

This month, Martha’s Table celebrates Read Across America Month to help develop the love of reading in our young children.  The Martha’s Table education programs are dedicated to preparing our children with the knowledge and supports necessary to excel.  Promoting literacy and fostering a love of reading is an essential step to achieving that goal.

Today, the elementary program is reading Horton Hears a Who, they will then watch the movie and do a media comparison by finding similarities and differences.

At the end of the month, our Child Development Center will host a nutrition day with Green Eggs and Ham.  We will need volunteers for the event and all volunteer opportunities will be posted on volunteer hub.

Join us and donate a Dr. Seuss book today.  Our goal is to have every child at Martha’s Table take home a Dr. Seuss book to read with their parents.  Here are our recommendations with the quantities needed, but feel free to purchase these books however is easiest for you.
