Director of Volunteer and Community Supports
Jason R.L Wallace serves as the Director of Volunteer & Community Supports at Martha’s Table, where he leads overall strategy as it relates to volunteer efforts and community support programming. This includes McKenna’s Wagon, a mobile food truck that rolls out 7 days a week, 365 days a year to feed the homeless and hungry at three downtown locations. Martha’s Outlet, a clothing program that provides free, high-quality clothing, shoes, linens, and household furnishings to individuals and families in need. Martha’s Outfitters, a friendly, innovative community thrift store with locations in Northwest and Southeast DC. Martha’s Lobby Market, a no-cost mini market as well as a 4 pm meal service hosted at Martha’s Table daily.
Tony Washington is the Assistant Director, Retail Operations at Martha’s Table. He leads the Martha’s Outfitters teams at our 14th St and SE locations. Tony is a military veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy for over 20 years. In addition, he has worked as a government contractor, as well as in operations management in the corporate and private sectors. Tony is a husband, father of five, a basketball coach/player, and volunteer fireman. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Kent State University.
JerMarkus Booker is the Joyful Food Market Volunteer Coordinator with Martha’s Table. He is responsible for managing over 500 volunteers for 39 free pop-up style markets based in schools and communities throughout the District that deliver healthy food and fun to students, families, and neighbors.
JerMarkus is a community advocate with 5 years experience working with youth in vulnerable communities. Before joining Martha’s Table, he served as the Selection and Placement Assistant with the Corporation for National and Community Service, where he was responsible for recruiting and coordinating training for 250 at-risk youth. He’s also served two terms with AmeriCorps Vista and State and National Programs in New Orleans, LA and Silver Spring, MD.
JerMarkus holds a Bachelor’s in Political Science & Public Policy from Dillard University and is currently studying Public Administration at the University of District of Columbia.
Evelin Ayala is the Volunteer Coordinator for Community Supports at Martha’s Table, where she manages volunteer efforts for Martha’s Outfitters, McKenna’s Wagon, Martha’s Lobby Market, and a daily 4pm meal service. Previously, Evelin was part of the volunteer team at So Others Might Eat where she helped manage over 25,000 volunteers annually. She has over 5 years of non-profit experience in volunteer management. Evelin lives in Maryland with her husband, Juan and 3 daughter’s, Melany, Gabriella, and Eliana.
