Celebrating our Teachers
Schools across the nation celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week May 7 through 11 and, of course, Martha’s Table took the opportunity to celebrate our AMAZING teachers! National Teacher Appreciation Week has been organized since 1984 by the National Parent Teacher Association (PTA) with the goal of honoring the teachers who lend their passion and skills to educating children.
Every teacher participated in the festivities, which included fun events and treats throughout the week (all while continuing to teach and care for our students)! On Monday morning, we rolled out the red carpet runway so our wonderful educators could strut their stuff on the way to an oatmeal and fresh fruit breakfast bar. On Tuesday teachers were treated to sweet treats: Starbursts with a note saying “Bursting to tell you how much of a STAR you are!” and 3 Musketeers bars with a note that said, “Thank you for doing the work of 3 people!” On Wednesday, we hosted a mock happy hour at midday for our education staff and on Thursday they were treated to hand massages. We wrapped up the week with a Friday lunch buffet with an array of food from our teachers’ favorite restaurants.
While many teachers take a break during the summer, teachers at Martha’s Table are on the clock year-round supporting students. We are grateful and appreciate their hard work every day. Thank you, Martha’s Table educators!
